The USN honorable discharge button designates honorable discharge from the USN. The button is about 5/8 inch in diameter, made of a dark bronze-toned metal with an outer band of white enamel containing the words “U.S. NAVAL / HONORABLE DISCHARGE”. In the center is a raised relief insignia consisting of an eagle with spread wings sitting on a large anchor, in front of a sailing ship. The fastener is a fixed lapel stud to be used with a buttonhole. The maker of this pin was the Metal Arts Company of Rochester, New York.
