I found this vintage metal baseball coin bank at an antique show in Spokane, wa. It has the slot to put the coins in and a mechanism to open the ball. There is a metal stamp imbedded in the ball that has the label "Mercantile Commercial Bank from Evansville, Indiana. The antique dealer said this was from the 1930's and quite rare. This was most likely given out to customers as a promotion for opening an account with the bank or something. I have been unsuccessful finding this on line anywhere and am curious to learn more about this interesting baseball bank
