A few Boxes users asked about my photo setup so I thought I'd share this with anyone wanting to improve their photography! (Note: I am by no means a professional photographer. I simply looked up a DIY light box online and experimented.)
-cardboard box with the sides cut off (1-1.5 inch border on left and right sides and top)
- 100w natural daylight bulbs (LED if possible, doesn't generate heat)
- white poster board to curve along the back of the box and give that infinite space look
- white tissue paper or other thin, white cloth (if using tissue paper you must use LED lights or they WILL catch fire...)
- digital camera or smart phone (any camera with a macro feature, really)
- tripod (optional)
This whole setup cost me around $20. There are other options and variations of making a light box, including open light studios and different colored backdrops. This option just works best for what I need.
Hope this helps!
